Quiet Mastery ("we", "our", or "the app") is a spiritual accountability app designed for men pursuing spiritual growth in community. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information.
Information We Collect
We collect the following information when you use the app:
Account information: Name, email address, and profile photo when you create an account or sign in with Apple, Google, or email/password.
Contact information: Phone number and physical address, if you choose to provide them in your profile settings.
User-generated content: Prayer requests, reflections, dispatches (messages), field log entries, voice notes, and habit tracking data that you create within the app.
Usage data: Anonymous analytics about how you interact with the app (screens visited, features used) to help us improve the experience.
Device information: Device type, operating system, and push notification tokens for delivering notifications you opt into.
How We Use Your Information
To provide and maintain the app's features, including crew collaboration, prayer walls, journeys, and reading plans.
To send push notifications you have opted into (prayer reminders, dispatch alerts, daily reading reminders).
To display your profile and contributions to your crew members.
To improve the app experience through anonymous usage analytics.
To process voice notes.
Information Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. Your information is shared only in the following limited ways:
Within your crew: Content you post (prayers, reflections, dispatches, field log entries shared with your brotherhood) is visible to members of your crew.
Service providers: We use trusted third-party services to operate the app, including Firebase (authentication), PostHog (anonymous analytics), and cloud hosting providers. These providers only access data necessary to perform their services.
Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of our users.
Private Dispatches
Private dispatches are visible only to the sender and the intended recipient within the app. Other crew members cannot access private dispatches. However, private dispatches are not end-to-end encrypted— they are stored on our servers and are accessible to Quiet Mastery operators and our hosting infrastructure providers (Neon, Replit). Do not use private dispatches for communications that require the highest level of confidentiality.
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure servers. We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure token-based authentication, and encrypted storage for sensitive credentials. Voice notes are automatically deleted after 48 hours.
Your Rights and Choices
You can update or delete your profile information at any time within the app.
You can opt in or out of push notifications through the app's notification settings.
You can delete your prayer requests, reflections, and other content you have created.
You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
Children's Privacy
Quiet Mastery is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by other means.
